🇩🇰 EUROfusion Member Denmark — advancing fusion research through collaboration, innovation, and education. Denmark’s participation in the EUROfusion programme is led by the Technical University of Denmark (@DTU) through the DANfusion consortium, which also includes Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark (@SDU), and Aalborg University. 🔬 At DTU, the Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy (PPFE) group leads Danish fusion activities — from plasma modelling and materials science to diagnostics and fusion device operation. DTU operates NORTH, the first tokamak in Scandinavia, used for research and education within EUROfusion. 🤖 At SDU, researchers contribute to the design of remote maintenance systems for DEMO, developing adaptive control algorithms for robotic systems that can safely handle complex in-vessel maintenance tasks. Their AI in Fusion team also explores how machine learning can accelerate simulations, interpret complex data, and enable real-time reactor control. Together, the DANfusion partners bring Danish expertise in plasma physics, fusion diagnostics, robotics, materials science, high-power electronics, and AI to Europe’s collective journey toward fusion energy. The Administrative Contact Persons of EUROfusion met in Padua on 1-2 October for their annual face-to-face ACP meeting. This year the meeting focused on the identification of critical issues in the reporting process, lessons learnt, suggestions on best practise, planning the work for the extension of the grant and also some time dedicated to a quiz. At the end of the meeting the ACP colleagues had the opportunity to visit the ITER Neutral Beam Test Facility (NBTF) on the premises of the Consorzio RFX. We would like to thank you the Consorzio RFX for hosting the meeting.
